Advanced reinforces fire safety training with EvacGo systems
According to Advanced, its EvacGo evacuation alert systems are now supporting training facilities across the UK, aimed at improving the practical knowledge of fire and rescue services in handling tall residential building evacuations.
The EvacGo system aligns with the BS 8629 code of practice, which applies to buildings over 18 metres in Scotland and England.
Each EvacGo panel is crafted using components approved under EN54 Parts 2 and 4 from Advanced’s MxPro 5 range, tailored to meet the evacuation needs of specific zones within these buildings.
The EvacGo panels are accessible at training centres, enabling firefighters and other industry professionals to gain hands-on experience with the systems.
Advanced stated: “The toggle switches and LED indicators on each EvacGo panel make it clear and intuitive for firefighters to operate, enabling quick and effective implementation of evacuation strategies crucial to resident safety.”
Enhanced training with MxPro 5 panels
In addition to EvacGo, Advanced has provided multiple MxPro 5 panels at training centres.
These contributions aim to broaden fire safety education, as MxPro 5 systems are widely used in the UK.
The availability of both EvacGo and MxPro 5 systems offers trainees a comprehensive understanding of real-world fire safety technologies.
This approach is intended to help new fire safety professionals familiarise themselves with the systems they may encounter in practice, fostering improved operational readiness.
Advanced also supports the training with its ServiceTool, designed to streamline the compliance reporting process.
The tool enables trainees and professionals to produce customised compliance reports that align with service and maintenance standards, supporting ongoing adherence to safety protocols.
Training centres equipped with compliance tools
Advanced’s ServiceTool, used alongside EvacGo and MxPro 5 panels, helps training providers demonstrate adherence to safety standards efficiently.
The ServiceTool simplifies the process of generating reports required for compliance, covering aspects of system servicing and maintenance.
By integrating these tools, Advanced aims to support a well-rounded approach to fire safety education in the UK, offering practical tools that mirror real-life safety management practices.
Practical training fosters readiness among fire safety professionals
According to Advanced, the introduction of the EvacGo and MxPro 5 systems in training environments provides vital hands-on experience that enhances emergency preparedness for fire safety professionals.
By supporting training providers with these systems, Advanced enables new professionals to enter the field with a stronger understanding of evacuation procedures and equipment.
