Rising demand for Air Tractor aircraft
Air Tractor has reported an increase in demand for its turboprop aircraft, particularly in international markets, according to the General Aviation Manufacturing Association (GAMA).
The company produced 210 aircraft in 2024 and plans to increase production to 215 units in 2025.

2024 aircraft production and market position
GAMA’s 2024 Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report lists Air Tractor as a leading manufacturer in its agricultural, aerial firefighting, and utility aircraft sectors.
The report highlights the company’s continued production growth and market presence.
Since its founding, Air Tractor has focused on producing purpose-built aircraft designed for aerial application, firefighting, and other specialised operations.
The company marked its 50th anniversary in 2024.
Partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada
A key factor in Air Tractor’s aircraft development is its long-term partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), the manufacturer of the PT6 turboprop engines used in Air Tractor aircraft.
