Product features and comments from PfH and Auro
Harmony Fire said Auro Door was launched in late June last year and is intended to address installation, maintenance and “golden thread assurance” needs for fire doors.
Yhe product uses integrated sensors and IoT technology to self-validate on installation, then continuously monitors performance to check door gaps remain compliant.
Harmony Fire said the system provides real time alerts and a digital record of door use and condition to support maintenance scheduling.
Neil Butters, PfH operations director, said: “SHED was created to address a practical problem: housing providers needed access to emerging tech solutions, and smaller suppliers needed a route into a highly regulated market.
“Five generations on, the data shows that this model works.
“We are seeing more social landlords than ever using SHED to procure innovation, and more SMEs able to scale fresh solutions to persistent challenges such as damp and mould, building safety, digital switchover, decarbonisation, tenant wellbeing, asset management and housing supply.”
Ged Moore, Managing Director at Auro by Harmony, added: “The market reaction to Auro Door has been incredible since its launch in late June last year.
“Feedback and data from our live trials earlier in 2025 demonstrated the huge potential for our IoT fire door range and this has been validated through exceptional interest and orders from many of the UK’s leading landlords and beyond into other sectors.
“Our appointment to the SHED 5 framework represents another milestone in Auro’s rapid growth, which has also seen us add Auro Lume, our self-testing emergency lighting solution to our product range and the first reveal of Auro Myco, our connected response to monitor damp, mould and environmental conditions within homes.”
Harmony Fire listed other public sector procurement pathways where it is a strategic partner, including NHC Procurement Active Fire Framework, Fusion 21, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), CHIC Fire & Building Safety Framework and the NHS Shared Business Services framework.
It also said it is a framework partner with Guinness Partnership, Notting Hill Genesis and Places for People.
