Entries open for BESA Industry Awards 2025
The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) has launched the 2025 edition of its Industry Awards, adding 10 new categories and updating the programme.
BESA has opened entries for the 28 categories and aims to increase participation by 25%, following a record 101 entries in 2024.
The awards recognise individuals, teams, and organisations that have contributed to the building services sector over the past year.
The deadline for entries is 4 July.
The awards ceremony will take place on 16 October at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London, following the BESA Annual Conference earlier that day.
New categories introduced for 2025
This year’s awards include new categories such as Offsite Project of the Year, Excellence in Commissioning, and the REFCOM Environmental Excellence Award.
Additional categories include Service and Maintenance Contractor of the Year and Ventilation Hygiene Contractor of the Year.
New Contractor of the Year awards have been introduced for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, and England, alongside a National Contractor of the Year award sponsored by Groupe Atlantic.
Recognising apprentices and young engineers
The awards continue to celebrate young professionals with categories dedicated to apprentices and emerging engineers.
Each nominated apprentice will be required to complete a 45-minute online test as part of the selection process.
An expanded judging panel, chaired by BESA technical director Kevin Morrissey, has been assembled to manage the increased number of entries.
Event details and sponsorship opportunities
The awards ceremony will take place in London for the second consecutive year.
BESA has announced that Mitsubishi Electric is sponsoring the awards.
BESA’s group events manager Charlie Ward said: “Following the success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 400 guests, we are looking forward to growing even further and cementing the BESA Awards as one of the top celebrations in the industry’s calendar.”
Sponsorship opportunities remain available.
The closing date for entries is 4 July.
