Blackline Safety named among Canada’s Top Growing Companies for seventh year
Company achieves 134% three-year revenue growth
Blackline Safety has been recognised as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for the seventh consecutive year.
The company reported three-year revenue growth of 134%.
The ranking, published by The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine, celebrates 400 Canadian businesses achieving sustained expansion.
According to the publication, Blackline is one of only ten companies to appear on the list every year since its creation in 2019.
The company confirmed that this year’s achievement follows its addition to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index and the S&P/TSX Capped Information Technology Index.
These listings reflect its growing position within Canada’s technology and small-cap markets.
CEO credits team, customers and shareholders
Cody Slater, Chief Executive Officer and Chair at Blackline Safety, said: “It’s an honour to be recognized as a Top Growing Company for the seventh straight year, especially on the heels of our inclusion in key Canadian market indexes.”
“It’s also proof that our vision to deliver the most connected life-saving safety technology in the world is resonating with organizations everywhere.”
He added that the recognition reflects the innovation of Blackline’s workforce, the loyalty of its customers and the confidence of its shareholders.
Report on Business praises company resilience
According to The Globe and Mail, the annual ranking measures three-year revenue growth across public and private businesses.
The median growth rate among the 400 winners was 175%.
The publication noted that the cohort represents businesses that have continued to expand despite economic challenges over the past three years.
Dawn Calleja, Editor of Report on Business magazine, said: “Our annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies reflects the sector-spanning ingenuity of this country’s entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.”
“And we think it’s important to tell their stories, to help inspire the next generation of up-and-comers across the country.”
Methodology behind the Top Growing Companies ranking
The Globe and Mail explained that the program is voluntary and open to Canadian-run businesses with at least 2 million Canadian dollars in annual sales.
Companies are ranked based on verified three-year revenue growth between 2021 and 2024.
Entries required full applications and supporting financial documentation.
The full list of 2025 winners appears in the October issue of Report on Business magazine and online at tgam.ca/TopGrowing.
Relevance for fire and safety professionals
Blackline Safety’s sustained growth highlights the continued global demand for connected safety technologies.
These systems are increasingly adopted by industrial, energy and emergency service sectors to improve worker protection and incident response.
Procurement officers and safety managers responsible for deploying personal monitoring devices and gas detection systems may view this as further validation of the technology’s reliability and scalability.
The company’s addition to key Canadian stock indexes could also strengthen investor confidence in the connected safety market, potentially influencing future innovation and adoption in hazardous work environments.
