Britannia Fire to spotlight sustainable fire protection at IFSJ Leaders 2025
Britannia Fire has been at the forefront of fire safety for over 50 years. As the Platinum Partner for the IFSJ Leaders in Fire & Safety Conference 2025, the company is taking a leading role in shaping the future of the industry, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable solutions and reliable fire protection.
A legacy of fire safety excellence
Established in the UK in 1970, Britannia Fire has built a reputation for engineering high-quality fire extinguishers designed to protect lives and property.
The company has recently transitioned its entire focus to composite fire extinguishers, investing over £1 million in its factory to meet growing demand.
The company’s P50 range eliminates PFAS chemicals, requires minimal maintenance, and lasts up to 20 years—offering an alternative to traditional metal extinguishers that require frequent servicing and are prone to corrosion.
“The sustainability issue is key to our customers at present,” said Andy Spence, Joint Managing Director at Britannia Fire.
“By the end of last year, we were manufacturing around the clock to keep up with orders. With the new machinery and refurbished factory, we’re more than doubling our output.”
The P50’s lightweight composite build, combined with its recyclability and lower servicing needs, makes it a practical solution for organisations seeking to balance performance, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Britannia Fire’s investment in this technology aligns with increasing regulations restricting the use of certain chemicals in firefighting equipment.
Platinum Partner for IFSJ Leaders in Fire & Safety Conference 2025
Britannia Fire’s decision to take on the Platinum Partner role follows its participation in the 2024 event, where it engaged with senior decision-makers from across the fire safety sector.
“After attending the event for the first time last year and witnessing the quality of seminars and the calibre of leaders in the room, I instantly knew we had to become more involved.
“The opportunity to lead as the Platinum sponsor was an easy decision to make,” said Andy Spence.
Expanding industry conversations on sustainability
As part of its Platinum Partnership, Britannia Fire will deliver a partner presentation at the conference, sharing expertise on the liked of sustainability in fire safety and the growing role of composite extinguisher technology.
The company will be on hand to highlight practical solutions for businesses seeking to transition to longer-lasting, PFAS-free extinguishers while also addressing industry concerns about cost-effectiveness, durability, and regulatory compliance.
Britannia Fire’s continued investment in sustainable fire protection reflects a broader industry movement toward solutions that reduce waste, lower long-term costs, and simplify fire safety management.
The IFSJ Leaders in Fire & Safety Conference 2025 provides a valuable platform to discuss how organisations can adapt their fire safety strategies in line with changing industry expectations.
