Grant and Bowman receive workplace wellbeing support funding
As reported by The British Safety Council, Grant and Bowman, a global distribution company, has been awarded up to £10,000 in funding through the Keep Thriving campaign.
This initiative aims to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) implement employee wellbeing strategies.
Grant and Bowman participated in a three-hour workshop earlier this year, hosted by Being Well Together experts.
Six months later, the company applied for the funding, which is allocated only to the most effective proposals.
The funding will enable Grant and Bowman to deliver mental health training, stress management, financial wellbeing workshops, and expand their Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
A focus on employee mental health and financial wellbeing
Human Resources Manager Caley Priestley expressed the company’s gratitude for the funding, noting its potential to enhance employee wellbeing.
She said: “This funding will enable us to implement mental health training, wellbeing workshops, and financial wellness programs.
“These initiatives aim to boost morale, enhance productivity, and foster a more positive work environment.”
The company plans to allocate the funding to improve mental health support, offering counselling and therapy services to employees.
British Safety Council reinforces support for SMEs
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, praised the Keep Thriving campaign’s impact on SMEs.
He said: “Even modest funding can significantly support organisations with limited resources for employee wellbeing.
“Grant and Bowman demonstrated how they would use these funds in imaginative ways and track the impact effectively.”
The campaign ensures SMEs can enhance workplace wellbeing and evaluate its outcomes comprehensively.
Additional benefits through workplace wellbeing programme
Grant and Bowman will also access the British Safety Council’s Workplace Wellbeing Programme for 12 months.
This includes training resources and support from a dedicated wellbeing manager.
The programme’s goal is to assist businesses in reducing risks and improving the physical, mental, and financial health of employees.
