Complii confirms acquisition of Parr Fire

Complii, the newly rebranded Compliance Group and a provider of building compliance services, has announced the acquisition of Parr Fire Protection Services, adding specialist fire protection capability to its portfolio.

Parr Fire Protection Services brings decades of experience in fire safety, with work spanning fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and related compliance services.

According to Complii, Parr Fire will continue to operate under its existing structure following the acquisition.

Managing Director Ian Blackledge and Operations Director Dale Jackson will remain in post, leading the business with their established team.

The company said this continuity is intended to maintain service levels for customers while integrating Parr Fire into the wider Complii platform.

Acquisition maintains Parr Fire leadership and services

Complii stated that Parr Fire will keep delivering its existing fire safety services after the acquisition.

The service range includes design, installation and maintenance of fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers alongside fire risk assessments and training.

Ian Blackledge, Managing Director of Parr Fire Protection Services, said: “Joining Complii is an exciting step forward for Parr.

“Our customers will continue to receive the same high-quality service they expect, now with the added support of Complii and access to an even broader range of building compliance services.”

Complii has positioned the arrangement as a way for Parr Fire’s customers to access a broader compliance offer while dealing with the same core team.

The firm highlighted Parr Fire’s established presence in the Northwest region as a factor in the transaction.

Rebrand to Complii focuses on partnership identity

Complii explained that the rebrand from Compliance Group forms part of a wider strategy to become a trusted partner in building compliance across water, air, fire and electrical disciplines.

The group said the move is designed to bring its businesses under a single brand identity.

According to Complii, the new Complii name and visual identity are intended to reflect a more collaborative approach.

The company highlighted the use of two dots side by side in its logo, describing this as a representation of standing shoulder to shoulder with clients.

Complii characterised this as a shift from a transactional service model towards a partnership framework built around shared safety goals and clear communication.

Group Chief Executive Officer Sarah Dixon commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Ian, Dale, and the entire Parr Fire team to Complii.

“Their expertise and commitment to putting clients first aligns perfectly with our approach and their strong presence in the Northwest will help strengthen Complii’s footprint across the region.”

How the Complii–Parr Fire deal affects compliance planning

The Complii acquisition of Parr Fire Protection Services is relevant to building owners, facility managers, risk assessors, system installers and fire-protection contractors who procure fire safety and wider building compliance services.

These stakeholders now have the option to source Parr Fire’s fire alarm, emergency lighting, extinguisher, fire risk assessment and training services from a business that sits within a broader building compliance group.

For multi-site operators, the combination of Parr Fire’s regional presence and Complii’s wider service coverage may support more consistent approaches to water, air, fire and electrical compliance.

The decision to retain Managing Director Ian Blackledge and Operations Director Dale Jackson in their existing roles provides continuity for existing Parr Fire customers while the business aligns with Complii’s partnership-focused model.

The new Complii brand, with its emphasis on a shoulder-to-shoulder partnership identity, indicates that future contracts may place more emphasis on long-term collaboration around shared safety goals and clearly defined responsibilities across compliance functions.
