Detectortesters announces acquisition of Global Vision Inc
Detectortesters Group has announced the acquisition of Global Vision Inc (GVI), a US-based company specialising in fire pump test meters.
GVI, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Minneapolis, develops FM-approved solutions designed for the maintenance of fire pumps in sprinkler systems.
The acquisition is part of Detectortesters’ growth strategy and follows its purchase of The Hose Monster Company in May 2024.
Strengthening flow test and measurement capabilities
Robert Campbell, Group CEO of Detectortesters [pictured], said the acquisition aligns with the company’s expansion in the test and measurement flow meter sector.
Campbell said: “As part of our growth strategy, we were looking to strengthen our position further within the test and measurement flow meter space, and I am delighted we have been able to achieve that with GVI.”
He added that GVI’s products and technology complement Hose Monster’s offerings.
GVI sees opportunity for growth within Detectortesters
Aaron Cerny, Executive VP of GVI, stated that joining Detectortesters provides an opportunity for growth and further development.
Cerny said: “Becoming part of the Detectortesters group gives us the platform to grow even further, with access to even greater resource and experience which will help drive development of new solutions and the expansion of our customer base.”
He added that he looks forward to collaborating with the Hose Monster team.
Detectortesters’ acquisition strategy
The purchase of GVI marks the fourth acquisition by Detectortesters Group.
The company, backed by Inflexion Private Equity, has been expanding its portfolio through acquisitions aimed at strengthening its position in fire safety testing and measurement.
GVI’s patented solutions are used by a global customer base, supporting compliance and maintenance of fire protection systems.
