Euralarm appoints Carlos Perez as new technical manager

Euralarm has announced the appointment of Carlos Perez as the new Technical Manager for its Fire and Extinguishing sections.

This development comes as Michael Scharnowsky retires from the role.

Carlos Perez is already a familiar face within Euralarm.

He has previously held a membership in the Extinguishing section and has served as a representative of the Spanish trade association and Euralarm member, Tecnifuego.

With a rich background in the fire safety sector, Perez is recognised as the Spanish expert at the Asociación Española de Normalización and formerly held the position of convenor for the fixed extinguishing equipment manufacturers section of Tecnifuego.

His previous roles include several management and engineering positions at Tyco Fire & Building Products and Johnson Controls before stepping into his new role at Euralarm.

Role and responsibilities

In his new capacity, Carlos Perez will offer technical support to the Fire and Extinguishing sections of Euralarm.

His duties will include keeping members updated on pertinent developments to aid in decision-making.

Perez will be focusing on gathering and disseminating information relevant to the industry and participating in both international collaborations and standardisation committees as well as working groups.

His efforts are aimed at enhancing the visibility of the industry and contributing to high safety standards in buildings.
