Record growth and international participation at FeuerTrutz 2024
As reported by FeuerTrutz, the FeuerTrutz trade fair has once again affirmed its role as the largest interaction and knowledge platform for preventive fire protection in Europe.
The event, held over two days, saw participation from 276 exhibitors, including 52 from outside Germany, marking an increase from the previous year’s 42 international exhibitors.
The trade fair attracted approximately 6,300 visitors from 44 countries, with the international share rising to around 50 percent compared to the previous year.
The event also expanded in terms of space, making it the largest FeuerTrutz to date.
The Fire Protection Congress, a key feature of the event, facilitated expert discussions on current industry topics and was noted for its comprehensive supporting programme.
Feedback from exhibitors and visitors
Stefan Dittrich, Director of FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse, summarised the event: “More international, bigger, great atmosphere in the halls – after two extremely successful days at the trade fair, this is a summary we are very happy with.”
Dittrich also highlighted the positive feedback from exhibitors: “In our personal discussions, the majority rated the overall success of their participation in the exhibition as positive, and they were able to reach their key target groups.
“The exhibitors had particular praise for the high proportion of decision-makers present.”
This positive sentiment was corroborated by an independent visitor survey, which revealed that nine out of ten trade visitors are involved in their company’s decision-making process.
New and returning highlights at FeuerTrutz 2024
The supporting programme at FeuerTrutz 2024 introduced two new highlights.
The neext Future Forum featured various panel discussions and workshops on fire safety in an increasingly urban and networked world.
Additionally, a new seminar by asecos on the “Safe handling of hazardous substances in the working environment” combined knowledge sharing with live experiments and practical tips.
Proven elements from previous years also returned, such as the asecos academy forum, which addressed topics like handling lithium-ion batteries and fire protection in ventilation systems.
The Fire Protection EXPERIENCE showcased practical fire protection demonstrations, while the startups@FeuerTrutz pavilion expanded significantly, highlighting the industry’s innovation.
Topics of interest at the Fire Protection Congress
The Fire Protection Congress addressed current issues in preventive fire protection.
Topics included building regulations, risks from PV systems on roofs, safe construction using wood in Germany’s building class 5, and the role of preventive fire protection in a sustainable construction industry.
Around 40 experts shared their insights with over 1,300 registered participants, including 290 online attendees.
André Gesellchen, Head of the Fire Protection Programme at RM Rudolf Müller Medien, stated: “The Fire Protection Congress 2024 once again confirmed its position as the leading specialist event for preventive fire protection in the German-speaking countries.”
The compact seminar on extinguishing technology, in cooperation with the Federal Association for Technical Fire Protection, was also well-attended with 90 participants.
