Fire Dynamics International division expands the group’s fire safety offering from consultancy and design through to installation and compliance
The FDI Group has expanded its operations in the UAE with the launch of Fire Dynamics International, a specialist fire protection contractor delivering passive and active fire protection systems across commercial, residential and industrial developments.
The launch follows the recent establishment of FDI Consultancy Services in the UAE and adds a dedicated contracting division to the group’s regional operations. Together, the businesses provide clients with access to fire safety services spanning strategy, consultancy, design, installation, remediation and ongoing compliance.
Fire Dynamics International works with developers, principal contractors, consultants, facilities managers and building owners, supporting both new-build and existing properties with fire protection solutions designed to safeguard occupants and assets throughout their lifecycle.
Its services include fire door installation, fire stopping, compartmentation, penetration sealing and passive fire remediation, alongside active fire protection systems. The company says its approach is intended to help clients meet regulatory requirements while improving the long-term safety and resilience of buildings.
Fire Dynamics International has already secured several projects in the UAE, including the delivery of full active and passive fire protection installation at DIFC’s Index Tower. The same scope of works is also due to commence shortly at Eywa Tower in Business Bay.
Elliott Brown, Founder and Managing Director of The FDI Group, said the new division was created in response to a gap between fire safety consultancy and project execution.
“We identified a clear gap in the market between design-stage consultancy and on-the-ground execution. Too often, developers and contractors have had to engage different specialists at each stage of a project, creating unnecessary complexity, inconsistency and compliance issues,” Brown said.
He added: “Compliance isn’t a single checkpoint; it’s a continuous thread that runs from concept design and engineering through procurement, installation and commissioning, with Civil Defence approval as the final test. Any break in that thread introduces risk.”
“By launching Fire Dynamics International alongside FDI Consultancy Services, we’re bringing those capabilities together, giving clients the flexibility to engage us for individual aspects or as a single partner delivering fire safety from design and consultancy through to installation, testing and final sign-off.”
