G4S Fire & Security Systems adopts FLS VISITOUR software for real-time efficiency

FLS has announced a new contract to provide its FLS VISITOUR dynamic field service scheduling software to G4S Fire & Security Systems in the UK.

The partnership aims to boost productivity and enhance customer service outcomes through real-time efficiency improvements.

G4S will also upgrade its Tesseract Service Centre from Asolvi to the latest version as part of this deal.

G4S manages both installation appointments and service-level agreement (SLA) response-based maintenance tasks at customer sites across the UK, 365 days a year.

The new solution will automate scheduling processes for planned and reactive work.

Tony Anderson, Operations Director for G4S UK&I, said: “Through the use of dynamic scheduling we will be able to replace manual processes for planned and reactive work with automation that will achieve better routes and faster response times.”

FLS VISITOUR software to automate field service management for G4S

FLS VISITOUR’s key feature is its ability to manage real-time scheduling adjustments.

This includes recalculating routes to accommodate delays or changes in work orders within seconds, using time-of-day driving speeds at over eight million road junctions across the UK.

By implementing this software, G4S aims to reduce the time field engineers spend on driving and administration, and increase the time spent with customers.

Tony Anderson added: “Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and less time for driving and administration means more time for engineers with customers.”

The automation of scheduling will allow G4S to enhance the skills and accreditation verification for field engineers while ensuring faster service delivery.

G4S selects FLS following a procurement process

After conducting a procurement process, G4S selected FLS VISITOUR due to its compatibility with G4S’s existing service platform.

Tony Anderson explained: “FLS were selected as G4S were impressed by the scheduling capability and links to our existing service platform.

The ease of use and interaction with FLS was also another major factor in selection.”

This decision aligns with G4S’s strategic goal of improving efficiency and streamlining operations through technology.

The selection of FLS was further supported by a recommendation from Asolvi, with whom FLS shares several joint customers.

Jeremy Squire, UK Managing Director at FLS, expressed excitement over the new partnership with G4S.

Squire also highlighted the collaboration with Asolvi and expressed confidence in helping G4S meet its productivity and efficiency targets.

FLS plans to work closely with both G4S and Asolvi to ensure the smooth deployment of FLS VISITOUR and support G4S in achieving its service goals.
