Product data assessment completed across fire stopping portfolio
FSi Promat has confirmed that its full range of fire stopping products manufactured before 2025 has been certified under the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI).
According to FSi Promat, the products now certified include sealants, cavity barriers, fire batts, collars, wraps and compounds designed for passive fire protection systems.
The company explained that this follows earlier CCPI certification for its Silverliner cavity barriers in 2024.
The CCPI, developed by the Construction Product Association, is a voluntary code that requires manufacturers to ensure their product data is accurate, consistent and accessible.
FSi Promat stated that it has spent two years aligning its documentation with CCPI guidelines.
The company said its certification supports improved clarity for those specifying, installing or inspecting passive fire products across the built environment.
CCPI and industry-wide calls for transparency
The Construction Product Association introduced the CCPI to help ensure that information on building products is up-to-date, traceable and delivered by qualified professionals.
The code forms part of broader efforts to increase safety and accountability across the sector, in particular by supporting the implementation of the Building Safety Act.
FSi Promat stated that the assessment confirms that its technical data meets all CCPI criteria.
This includes evidence that product support is delivered by trained and competent personnel.
According to the company, clear documentation for fire stopping systems is necessary to support safe installation and use.
FSi Promat added that this applies to specifiers, contractors and installers who rely on data accuracy to make informed decisions.
Product types included in CCPI certification
FSi Promat listed the specific products covered by CCPI certification, including Stopseal Batt and Coating, Pyrocoustic, Pyrolastic and PyroPro HPE sealants.
Other certified products include LST sealants, PipeBloc PWP wraps and collars, NS Putty Pads, PenoPatch, Flexi-Coat, Silverseal compounds, S-Line Pillows, PS Coating and Paraflam cavity barriers.
These systems are designed to reinstate fire compartmentation where gaps or penetrations exist in walls, floors and ceilings.
They are typically used to seal joints, cable routes, pipes and electrical socket areas.
FSi Promat noted that its manufacturing site in Measham continues to supply these products for use across UK building projects.
The company emphasised that each item included in the assessment was launched before 2025.
Statement from FSi Promat
Emma Taylor, Marketing Manager at FSi Promat, said: “FSi Promat is committed to achieving and demonstrating the highest levels of performance and compliance in its products, and it is essential that the information that communicates that is clear.
“Through securing CCPI assessment for our core range of fire stopping we have demonstrated our commitment to making sure that the evidence behind our product claims is also easy to access.
“Building safety depends on competency, robust systems and clear information, and the CCPI allows us to provide greater confidence to those professionals specifying and installing our products.
“The importance of supporting correct specification and installation cannot be understated.”
Taylor added that the process has also supported internal review and alignment with other regulatory initiatives.
FSi Promat stated that it will continue to maintain certification across new products as they are introduced to the market.
The company added that CCPI participation is voluntary, but it considers it a key element of responsible product communication.
Broader context for fire stopping standards
FSi Promat noted that CCPI certification ties in with the wider sector shift toward clear accountability for safety-critical decisions.
It stated that fire stopping systems must be correctly selected and installed based on validated data.
The company said this applies to all components used to preserve fire resistance performance in buildings.
FSi Promat also indicated that CCPI helps clarify technical distinctions between similar product types, reducing the likelihood of misapplication.
According to the company, CCPI certification enables more transparent oversight during project design and execution phases.
FSi Promat added that these steps reflect industry expectations following regulatory reform.
