Executive leadership changes at PTSG in UK fire solutions sector
Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has announced that Chief Executive Officer Nikhil Varty will leave the company for personal reasons after two years in the role.
The company confirmed on 13 June 2025 that Greg Ward, previously Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed CEO with immediate effect.
PTSG, which operates five service divisions including Fire Solutions, stated that the leadership change aligns with its long-term strategy.
According to the company, Ward has been instrumental in restructuring operations and embedding a performance-based culture since joining the business.
Executive Chairman Paul Teasdale said: “This is a significant moment for PTSG.”

PTSG reported that Ward’s appointment is part of a plan to align commercial goals with operational delivery across its service areas.
The company said Ward brings experience in strategic implementation and operational management.

Teasdale added: “Under Greg’s leadership, we will continue to unite commercial ambition with operational delivery.”
PTSG stated that it expects continuity in its leadership approach and service delivery model following the transition.
Organisational growth and acquisition strategy
Since its establishment in 2007, PTSG has grown through a combination of organic expansion and targeted acquisitions.
The organisation now employs more than 3,000 staff across 50 locations in the UK.
According to PTSG, its divisions include Access & Safety, Electrical Services, Building Access Specialists, Fire Solutions and Water Treatment.
The company said it works with large and complex UK businesses to deliver infrastructure services across various sectors.
PTSG described its approach as combining technical expertise with a flexible operating model.
Fire Solutions remains a core operational focus
Fire Solutions continues to form one of PTSG’s core service areas within its broader business model.
The company has not indicated any structural changes to the division following the leadership transition.
Teasdale stated: “Our growth targets are ambitious, but with the right leadership, the right culture and an unrelenting focus on delivery, they are absolutely achievable.”
Ward’s role will involve further integrating Fire Solutions with overall operational strategy.
PTSG said the division will remain aligned with the company’s values of safety, service reliability and responsiveness.

The Board of PTSG confirmed that the leadership transition supports continuity and reaffirms the Group’s existing trajectory.
The organisation said Ward has the full support of both the Board and internal teams.
