Harmony Fire secures £20m LiveWest contract for South West fire safety programme

Harmony Fire will deliver a five-year £20 million programme of fire safety upgrades for LiveWest, including IoT-enabled fire door technology across residential buildings in South West England

Harmony Fire has secured a contract worth approximately £20 million from housing association LiveWest to deliver a five-year programme of fire safety improvements across its residential portfolio in South West England.

Awarded through the Pretium Fire Safety Framework, the programme will provide consultancy, design and delivery services for fire safety upgrades at multi-storey residential buildings. The project also includes a comprehensive review of LiveWest’s housing stock to help prioritise future fire safety investment.

As part of the programme, Harmony Fire will install a range of active and passive fire protection measures, undertake remediation works and support wider building safety compliance activity.

A key element of the contract will see the deployment of Harmony Fire’s award-winning Auro Door, an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled fire door solution. The technology provides continuous compliance monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities, giving LiveWest greater visibility of critical fire safety assets while helping to inform long-term asset management decisions.

The latest award builds on an established partnership between the two organisations, which has also delivered wider social value initiatives across the South West. Over the past two years, LiveWest and Harmony Fire have collaborated to donate more than 400 food parcels to charities including Food for Families, Tamar View Foodbank and Besom Taunton, supporting communities facing financial hardship.

The new contract reinforces both organisations’ commitment to improving fire safety standards while creating safer homes and stronger communities across the region.
