PlanRadar platform streamlines project set-up for UK-based GSH Projects
PlanRadar has reported that its digital platform has enabled GSH Projects to reduce its project set-up time by 80 percent.
The UK-based construction and fit-out company adopted PlanRadar in January 2024 to manage growing demands in documentation, compliance, and large-scale project tracking.
The company faced recurring administrative inefficiencies when managing complex tasks, particularly during installation ticket production for fire door projects.
PlanRadar explained that its ‘Connect’ tool provided GSH Projects with an automated approach to project ticketing and compliance processes.
The platform helped automate the creation of sub-tickets and documents, simplifying next steps and reducing manual input requirements.
GSH Projects responds to increasing documentation demands
GSH Projects stated that traditional project set-up required extensive manual labour, often relying on disconnected systems and offline documentation.
The company said it wanted to transition from paper forms, email threads and unlinked platforms to a system that could offer process consistency and reduce risks of administrative error.
The manufacturer reported that the adoption of PlanRadar addressed these challenges by providing an integrated platform that supports both compliance and collaboration.
The firm noted that this allowed project teams to reduce the time spent on repetitive documentation and redirect focus to delivery.
Compliance and ticketing tasks benefit from automation
PlanRadar noted that the platform’s ability to automatically generate sub-tickets and related documents provided structure and guidance for GSH Projects teams.
The firm reported that this automation helped cut the time required to manage tasks such as fire door installation, which previously involved uploading thousands of records manually.
The company also stated that form generation and compliance tracking became more efficient, improving overall accuracy and reducing reliance on manual processes.
Rob Norton, UK Director at PlanRadar, said: “We know that construction firms can struggle with fragmented communication, heavy documentation, and, on occasion, costly reworks.
“PlanRadar aims to cut through that noise by streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency for a wide variety of projects.
“GSH Projects have really harnessed the true power of ‘Connect’ to achieve incredible operation improvements in such a short time.
“We hope it’s the start of a lasting partnership which will see them trial some of the other time-saving tools within the platform.”
GSH Projects reflects on administrative gains
Darryl Wandless, Compliance Coordinator at GSH Projects, commented: “Before incorporating PlanRadar, project set-up was a lengthy process, especially for those which required heavy documentation.
“To think, it used to take one person an entire day to put together an order for around 400 fire doors, however, through implementing the platform, this process can now be done in a matter of minutes.
“I would estimate we probably saved about 80% in actually setting up a project from the get-go compared to the last platform that we used.
“It’s also been transformative in administrative terms as our workload has decreased by 50%, helping improve capacity levels, so our team can squarely focus on the successful execution of projects.”
GSH Projects stated it will continue to use PlanRadar to meet its operational and compliance needs as it scales its work.
