UK-based wireless fire technology pioneer Hyfire has confirmed partnership agreements that will see its products sold in Norway and South Africa for the first time.

The deals with Holta & Håland and Technoswitch – following on from the successful launch of the Hyfire brand in Italy in 2021 – include supply, marketing and support provision for Hyfire’s Taurus range of wireless fire devices.

Since its launch in 2021, Taurus has taken wireless fire technology to new heights, revolutionising the performance of wireless devices and making them a genuine mainstream alternative to traditional wired systems for the first time.

Taurus comprises a full range of high-performance wireless detection, control and alarm devices, which will now be made available to Norwegian and South African specifiers and installers for the first time.

Tom Crane, Hyfire International Director, commented: “Hyfire is now recognised as one of the leading global brands for wireless fire systems, thanks to cutting edge technology coupled with an unrivalled partner programme and tech support.

“We want to replicate our successful UK model in other countries by working with established local partners, which is why we have agreed to supply Holta & Håland and Technoswitch with Taurus products that, backed up with commercial, technical and marketing support, will give them the resources they need to market the Hyfire brand in their home markets.”

Brett Birch, Technoswitch Managing Director, commented: “We’ve been pushing the boundaries of fire technology in the South African market since 1974 and, with the global reputation of Hyfire and awareness of wireless fire technology on the increase, it feels like there has never been a better time to launch the Taurus range into the South African market.

“Our clients are  eager to replace or update outmoded systems, and installers are under pressure to deliver. By using wireless fire devices, it’s possible to plan, install and commission new systems in a fraction of the time required for a traditional wired alternative, plus there’s less impact on the building’s fabric. We’re so excited to begin our journey with the Hyfire team and I’m particularly interested to explore innovative applications for wireless in the mining, petrochemical and power generations sectors.”
