Fire safety upgrade for Hundvåg’s historic commercial building
A historic commercial building on the island of Hundvåg, Norway, has been equipped with 99 wireless fire safety devices from Hyfire.
The installation of the Taurus Wireless System was aimed at enhancing fire safety while preserving the building’s structural integrity.
The site includes warehouse spaces, a commercial kitchen, offices, and a local pub, making fire protection a priority.
Wireless fire systems preserve historic structures
The building owner sought a fire safety solution that would not require extensive modifications.
Wireless technology was selected to minimise disruption while ensuring compliance with fire regulations.
Torger Nordbø, Sales Manager for Hyfire, said: “Because Hyfire’s devices can be set up off-site and then installed quickly, without the need for extensive work, the End Client was able to save on labour costs as well as preserve the historic integrity of the building.”
