Agreement aims to integrate advanced communication systems into emergency vehicles
Hytera Communications has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAFFCO Group to integrate its communication technologies into firefighting and emergency response vehicles.
According to Hytera, the agreement will support emergency teams in the Middle East and Africa by enhancing coordination and efficiency.
The companies will develop co-branded communication solutions, equipping NAFFCO’s vehicles with Hytera’s wireless radio communication systems.
Stanley Song, Vice President of Hytera, said: “This partnership will enable swift activation, flexible deployment and real-time location tracking—essential elements that empower first responders to act decisively and efficiently during crises.”
Communication technology to be integrated into NAFFCO emergency vehicles
Hytera’s systems will be installed in NAFFCO’s firefighting vehicles, ambulances, and emergency response units.
The integration aims to create a seamless operational framework by improving communication between emergency teams.
The agreement also includes software application programming interface (API) integration, allowing Hytera’s technologies to function within NAFFCO’s existing platforms.
Hytera will provide technical support, software updates, and training to ensure operational efficiency.
Arkan Adel, CEO Representative at NAFFCO, said: “By integrating these powerful technologies into our fleet, we will strengthen coordination across different emergency service teams, enhance on-scene efficiency, and ultimately help save more lives in critical situations.”
Agreement includes Abu Dhabi Police Ambulance initiative
Hytera’s technologies will be used in NAFFCO vehicles deployed under the Abu Dhabi Police Ambulance initiative.
The partnership will also support emergency responders in extreme conditions such as floods or fires by integrating rugged communication devices with NAFFCO’s specialized vehicles.
Hytera’s multi-network devices are designed to improve interoperability between fire, medical, and police teams, reducing response times through GPS-enabled dispatch and real-time tracking.
Benefits for emergency services and high-risk industries
Government agencies and private sector organisations in industries such as oil and gas will have access to emergency response solutions designed for high-risk environments.
Explosion-proof radios and real-time data transmission will be among the technologies available to frontline responders.
The agreement also focuses on improving operational safety by providing firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders with access to live data, including building layouts transmitted directly via Hytera devices.
