Property compliance expert Inspectas celebrates its 10th anniversary with a series of significant fire safety appointments.

As the firm continues to grow, these new roles aim to strengthen its position in the fire safety and compliance sectors.

Inspectas strengthens team with new appointments

Celebrating a decade in the industry, Inspectas has announced two key fire safety appointments. Neil Triggs joins as Chief Operating Officer for Major Projects, Fire, and Compliance, while Michael Shone takes on the position of Fire Compliance Services Divisional Lead.

This move is in line with other recent staff changes, including Naveed Mohammed as the Health & Safety Divisional Lead, the promotion of Andrew Ford to Senior Director Land Remediation, and Fiona Lindsay’s elevation to Operations Director.

To accommodate its expanding team, Inspectas has relocated to a more spacious office in Leeds, effectively doubling its workspace.

Shone and Triggs share insights on their roles

Neil Triggs commented on his new role: “Legal compliance around fire safety is becoming increasingly complex, especially post-Grenfell.

“My role, alongside Michael, is to lead our team of consultants and surveyors in simplifying the property compliance process for businesses in both the private and public sectors.”

With 18 years as a firefighter in the Royal Air Force and a subsequent eight-year civilian career in various construction and fire safety roles, Michael Shone brings a wealth of experience to his new position at Inspectas.

He mentioned: “In this new role at Inspectas, I aim to leverage my extensive construction knowledge and fire expertise to guide and support clients through the intricacies of fire safety.”

Inspectas: A decade of transformation and growth

Founded in 2013 by asbestos management professionals Craig Candlish and Matthew Fahy, Inspectas was born out of a desire to reinvigorate an industry perceived as sluggish and unreliable.

With a goal of being a transformational force, Inspectas Compliance now boasts a portfolio that includes over 150 clients from various sectors such as education, healthcare, and construction.

Reflecting on the journey, Director Craig Candlish stated: “In our 10th year, our move to a larger premise and these new appointments demonstrate our dedication to further develop our services, with a heightened focus on fire safety, health and safety, and land remediation.”
