The Intersec 2025 Awards were held on Wednesday, 15 January, at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai.
The ceremony celebrated outstanding achievements in safety, security, and fire protection, recognising excellence across 16 categories.
The UAE achieved won eight awards, including the Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa, Fire Safety Innovation Award, and Women Trailblazers in Security/Fire Safety Award.
Among the winners were Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, Ministry of Interior, and NAFFCO.
New categories introduced at Intersec 2025 Awards
This year’s awards featured three new categories designed to reflect evolving industry trends.
The CISO of the Year Award was presented to Harrison Nnaji, Group Chief Information Security Officer at First Bank of Nigeria, for his work in enhancing cybersecurity.
Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC won the Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification Award for its contributions to fire safety in the MENA region.
PwC Middle East secured the Consulting Leadership in Fire Safety, Security, and Cybersecurity Award.
Awards highlight innovation and collaboration
The Outstanding Fire Safety Team Award went to Drydocks World and Luxury Owners Association Management Company LLC.
Lt. Col. Dr. Humaid AL Ali from the Ministry of Interior was recognised with the Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent.
The Fire Safety Innovation Award was awarded to NAFFCO for its Falcon 6 firefighting and rescue vehicle.
Detectortesters received the Excellence in Fire Safety Award for the Testifire XTR2, while the Outstanding Safety Solutions Award recognised De Wipe for its decontamination wipes.
Event draws record-breaking attendance
Intersec 2025 marked its 26th edition with the largest event to date, featuring over 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries.
The event attracted more than 52,000 visitors, reinforcing its status as a leading platform for safety and security.
Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “As the curtains fall on this year’s awards, the spotlight remains firmly on the individuals and organisations driving change in these critical sectors.”

UAE wins eight awards at Intersec 2025 in Dubai: Summary
The InterAdvanced announce that they will be at Intersec Dubai 2025sec 2025 Awards were held on 15 January at the Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai.
The UAE secured eight awards across 16 categories, including the Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa and Fire Safety Innovation Award.
The event introduced three new categories, recognising advancements in cybersecurity, fire safety, and consulting.
Over 1,200 exhibitors and 52,000 visitors attended the largest Intersec event to date.
Among the winners were Dubai Civil Defense, NAFFCO, and Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC.
The awards highlighted global collaboration and innovation within the safety, security, and fire protection industries.
