Intersec Saudi Arabia 2024 concludes with record-breaking attendance
Intersec Saudi Arabia, the sixth edition of the Kingdom’s largest trade fair for safety, security, and fire protection saw a record attendance of over 23,000 industry professionals.
The event, held from 30 September to 3 October 2024 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), marked a 38% increase in visitors from last year.
A total of 310 exhibitors were present, showcasing the full range of security, safety, and fire protection technologies.
The event featured five themed halls and utilised additional outdoor space to accommodate the increased demand, with exhibition space expanding by 34%.
High-level government participation and keynote addresses
The event was officially opened by H.E. Aali M. Al Zahrani, Governor of the Higher Commission for Industrial Security, and Major General Dr.
Hamoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj, General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defense.
Major General Al-Faraj also delivered a keynote speech at the Fire Protection and Technology Summit, where he highlighted the directorate’s efforts to employ advanced technologies and preventive safety measures to ensure public security.
Additionally, the event welcomed more than 30 delegations, including key organisations such as the Saudi Red Crescent and King Fahad Security College, emphasising its role as a gathering point for various governmental bodies and safety stakeholders.
Future Security and Safety Summit addresses emerging threats
The Future Security and Safety Summit took centre stage at this year’s event, with nearly 60 speakers discussing critical issues related to global security, crisis response, and responsible AI innovation.
Industry leaders provided insights into emerging threats and discussed strategies to enhance risk resilience and infrastructure protection.
Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdul Qader Al Abu Issa, the Assistant Governor of the HCIS for Engineering Affairs and Licensing, delivered the opening keynote, focusing on the need for continued innovation and collaboration in addressing security challenges.
Fire Protection and Technology Summit highlights regional leadership
The Fire Protection and Technology Summit hosted over 40 leading figures from the fire and emergency services sector.
Topics included technological advancements, policy development, and regional standards for fire protection.
Speakers shared insights on both the challenges and opportunities within the industry.

The sixth edition of Intersec Saudi Arabia, held in Riyadh, saw a record attendance of over 23,000 industry professionals.
Organised by 1st Arabia and licensed by Messe Frankfurt, the event featured 310 exhibitors and showcased advancements in safety, security, and fire protection.
High-level government officials participated in the opening ceremony, and the event included the Future Security and Safety Summit and the Fire Protection and Technology Summit.
Both summits addressed critical industry challenges and attracted key stakeholders.
The next edition of the event will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2025.
