Record participation marks Intersec Saudi Arabia 2025
Intersec Saudi Arabia 2025 concluded with record participation and expanded international engagement at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC).
The event took place from 29 September to 1 October under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Interior, and in association with the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
A total of 434 exhibitors from 40 countries presented their technologies and services to 23,894 visitors.
Organisers reported a 12.5% year-on-year increase in trade buyers, reflecting the growing commercial strength of the safety and security sectors in Saudi Arabia.
Riham Sedik, Exhibition Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “With Saudi Arabia’s giga-projects and upcoming global events driving transformation across the security sector, this year’s Intersec Saudi Arabia proved instrumental in bringing together global innovators and local decision makers to help ensure these transformative projects are secure, resilient and ready for the future.”
Expanded show footprint and sector focus
According to organisers, Intersec Saudi Arabia 2025 covered a gross area of 30,000 square metres across seven halls.
Exhibitors showcased solutions across five focus areas: Commercial and Perimeter Security, Homeland Security and Policing, Cybersecurity, Fire and Rescue, and Safety and Health.
The event’s scope and attendance highlighted its role as a key meeting point for both regional and global stakeholders in security and safety.
Bilal Al Barmawi, CEO and Founder of 1st Arabia Trade Shows and Conferences, said: “Strong participation across both the Future Security Summit and the Fire Protection and Technology Summit reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in driving thought leadership and best practices across these vital sectors.”
Conference programme highlights
The conference programme featured two main summits tailored to the Saudi market.
The two-day Future Security Summit, powered by ASIS International – Dhahran Chapter, gathered policymakers, innovators and industry professionals to discuss technologies and policies shaping global security.
Representatives from Saudi Civil Defense, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Aramco, FIFA and Abu Dhabi Police contributed to discussions on topics including cross-border security, mega event protection and the security implications of artificial intelligence.
The Fire Protection and Technology Summit ran throughout the event, focusing on developments in fire protection practices and regulatory collaboration.
A new partnership with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) saw the association host a dedicated programme on the second day, providing expertise tailored to the Saudi market.
For the first time, all conference sessions were accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), enabling delegates to earn recognised professional credits.
Next edition planned for 2026
Organisers confirmed that Intersec Saudi Arabia will return to RICEC from 6–8 October 2026.
The next edition will build on the record attendance and expanded programme delivered in 2025.
Industry relevance for safety professionals
Intersec Saudi Arabia 2025 brought together organisations working across security, fire protection, and emergency response sectors, highlighting their increasing interconnection within the Kingdom’s infrastructure development plans.
For fire engineers, fire-protection system contractors and regulatory professionals, the Fire Protection and Technology Summit provided updates on international standards and the NFPA’s collaboration in localising safety frameworks.
Procurement officers, civil defense authorities and safety consultants were able to engage directly with technology developers and service providers to address specific challenges related to giga-projects, event security and emergency response planning.
The event’s CPD-certified sessions created new opportunities for professional development and compliance alignment across fire safety and risk management disciplines.
