Magirus forms Magirus Schweiz GmbH for Swiss fire services

Magirus has announced the establishment of Magirus Schweiz GmbH as a new Swiss-based subsidiary.

According to Magirus, the company was formed out of the fire protection division of Iveco Schweiz AG and will now operate independently.

The new company will focus on the sale, maintenance and servicing of firefighting vehicles and systems across Switzerland.

It will supply turntable ladders, pumpers, robotics, digital systems and other equipment to support Swiss fire brigades.

Company structure retains existing customer support teams

Magirus stated that the same customer service and sales teams that operated under Iveco Schweiz AG will continue under the new structure.

Marc Kuntz, Director Sales and Customer Service, said: “The experienced sales and customer service team, which has already built up an excellent reputation, will remain the first point of contact at the same location for Swiss customers under the new company structure.”

The management team of Magirus Schweiz GmbH includes Linda Schmidt (Customer Service), Bruno Müller (Sales) and Marco Hauk (Magirus GmbH, Ulm).

Operations to focus on modern firefighting technologies

Magirus Schweiz GmbH will supply a range of firefighting vehicles and associated equipment.

According to Magirus, this includes robotics and digital systems designed for emergency services.

Thomas Hilse, CEO of Magirus, said: “The aim is to provide Swiss fire brigades with customised, state-of-the-art products that optimise their operational capabilities and support them in fulfilling their demanding tasks.”
