Twenty selected for NEBOSH scholarship programme in honour of Michael Adamson

NEBOSH has reported that 20 individuals have been awarded full scholarships for the 2025 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarship programme.

The scholarship, named in memory of Michael Adamson, who died in a workplace incident, provides funding for the NEBOSH Level 6 National or International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals.

According to NEBOSH, the 2025 selection process received over 1,000 applications.

The organisation stated that the recipients were chosen based on their commitment to improving health and safety standards and their potential to make a positive impact in their communities and workplaces.

NEBOSH explained that this year’s applicants reflected a broad spectrum of motivations, including improving mental health in the workplace and promoting safety legislation within their sectors.

The selection panel said: “Choosing just twenty recipients was no easy task.

“Each applicant brought a powerful vision for change and a shared commitment to making a difference.

“What united them all was a desire to use their knowledge to protect others and build a legacy of safety.”

The organisation added that each recipient had demonstrated a strong personal drive to advance health and safety through education and advocacy.

NEBOSH has published the names of the 2025 recipients of the Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarship.

The scholarship has been awarded to: Alexander Gunn, Mariah Rizzo, Stephanie Moulden, Olivia Stamper, Leah Martel, Craig Widdowson, Oluwatosin Queen Ashogbon, Natalie Zibung, Okafor Chineme Boniface, Thuan Van Tran, Ifeyinwa Jessica Juwah, Elijah Idam Egwu, Zisslle Joyce Sia, Ananthakrishnan Unnithan S, Lukasz Byzdra, Micheal Kule, Samson Seyifunmi Ogunleye, Caleb Kelechi Uzoigwe, Onajite Akpojotor and Joel Martin Jr Trim.

The organisation said the group reflects a diverse international cohort.

It added that the recipients are pursuing various initiatives across occupational safety, including addressing sector-specific hazards and promoting safer working conditions in their respective fields.

Programme supports safety leadership through education

According to NEBOSH, the scholarship initiative aims to support future leaders in workplace safety by removing financial barriers to high-level training.

The scholarship covers the full cost of the NEBOSH Diploma and includes additional support throughout the study period.

The organisation explained that the programme serves as both a memorial to Michael Adamson and a step toward reducing preventable workplace incidents through education and leadership.
