NEBOSH announces free UK webinar on extreme heat safety
NEBOSH has announced that it will host a free online webinar focused on summer heat safety on Monday 4 August 2025.
The organisation said the event will explore the physical effects of high temperatures and provide advice for workers, professionals and the public during the warmer months.
According to NEBOSH, the session is titled The 100 Days of Summer – staying safe and strong in the heat and will take place at 10am UK time.
It explained that the aim is to help participants recognise and manage risks such as heat stress, dehydration and fatigue, particularly during periods of sustained outdoor activity.
The company said the session will offer strategies intended to help people work and live safely in hot conditions.
Topics include early signs of heat stress and hydration practices
NEBOSH stated that the webinar will include information on detecting early indicators of heat stress before symptoms escalate.
The organisation added that the event will also cover hydration techniques and how to maintain energy through nutrition.
The agenda includes specific tips for those working outdoors in sectors where sun exposure and physical exertion are common.
Attendees will be given guidance designed to be practical and applicable in everyday or occupational settings.
NEBOSH explained that the webinar is intended for a broad audience, including outdoor workers, health professionals, athletes and members of the public.
Speakers will share workplace experience and EHS expertise
NEBOSH confirmed that the session will be chaired by its Chief Quality Officer, Dee Arp.
The main speaker will be Doha Mattar, an environmental, health and safety professional with over 20 years of experience.
According to NEBOSH, Mattar has worked in global food and beverage sectors, helping organisations manage heat exposure and improve safety performance.
The organisation said the webinar will draw from her work in building long-term strategies for heat risk and operational continuity.
It added that Mattar will explain practical ways to respond to extreme temperatures and support health and productivity.
