Advanced welcomes new HR leader

Niki Smith has joined the leadership team at Advanced as the new People & Culture Director.

As reported by Advanced, Smith brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, having worked across various sectors including local authority, charity, higher education, and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Advanced, Smith led the European HR function within the industrial chain business at Renold Plc, an international engineering group.

Her role included overseeing teams across Germany, Spain, and the UK.

Smith also held roles at Canon UK and access solutions company ASSA ABLOY, managing global talent pipelines.

Focus on strategic HR initiatives

At Advanced, Smith’s primary focus will be on aligning HR strategies with the company’s business priorities.

She aims to accelerate strategic HR initiatives to support Advanced’s growth and will concentrate on recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Smith is also tasked with expanding the company’s diverse and inclusive team in line with Advanced’s core values and business objectives.

Her extensive background in corporate HR practices is expected to be pivotal in achieving these goals.
