ARMA Connect acquired by Normec to support growth in UK electrical safety

ARMA Connect has been acquired by Normec, according to a report published by ARMA Connect on 12 June 2025.

The acquisition forms part of Normec’s growth strategy in the UK and expands its reach in the country’s electrical compliance sector.

ARMA Connect will continue operating under its existing brand and leadership team, now supported by Normec’s broader group infrastructure.

The acquisition was facilitated by Dow Schofield Watts, whose corporate finance team in the North West advised the shareholders of ARMA Connect.

According to ARMA Connect, the acquisition supports its expansion while maintaining its commitment to compliance, digital platforms and national service delivery.

ARMA Connect to retain brand identity and staff under new ownership

According to ARMA Connect, the company will continue to operate under its existing brand following the acquisition.

The current team structure will remain in place.

Chris Read, Chief Executive Officer of ARMA Connect, confirmed that he will step down from the role but will remain involved in a support capacity.

The transition comes as ARMA Connect continues to promote its CONNECT Dashboard platform, which offers users an overview of certification and reporting across large portfolios.

Normec positions for UK growth through targeted acquisitions

Normec stated that the acquisition of ARMA Connect forms part of a wider strategy to expand its UK operations in testing, inspection, and compliance.

The company operates across Europe and is building its UK Life Safety division.

The group has not disclosed financial terms of the deal.

Normec said that ARMA Connect’s service portfolio and digital capabilities were key factors in the decision.

Dow Schofield Watts supports transaction

The shareholders of ARMA Connect were advised by the North West corporate finance team at Dow Schofield Watts.

The advisory team was led by Gregg Pendlington, Partner, supported by Associate Director Ross Thomas and Executive Jack Keoghan.

ARMA Connect confirmed that its proprietary CONNECT Dashboard platform will continue to play a central role in service delivery.

The platform enables users to view compliance certification and reports across property portfolios.

The system supports facilities teams managing complex estates and streamlines document visibility for external audits and internal review.

ARMA Connect stated that the software aligns with its strategy to combine safety assurance with digital reporting tools.

According to the company, clients are increasingly seeking integrated digital compliance systems as part of long-term service contracts.

The CONNECT Dashboard will remain active following the Normec acquisition, forming part of the wider group’s technology offering.
