New acquisitions continue Pye-Barker’s 2025 expansion across the US
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired 12 additional fire protection, life safety and security companies in the United States, according to a company announcement.
The firm said these new businesses joined its team in 2025, adding to a growing list of acquisitions this year and expanding on its national network.
The company said these purchases support its strategy to offer a full range of fire alarm, sprinkler and security services across the country.
Pye-Barker was ranked fourth on the 2025 SDM 100 list of security businesses in the US.
The company added that these acquisitions follow a year of expansion in 2024 and align with a long-term strategy focused on team integration and regional service coverage.
List of acquired companies spans 11 states
The 12 companies acquired by Pye-Barker in 2025 include firms in Florida, Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey, Idaho, Maine, Ohio, Montana and Texas.
These companies are:
- Fire Sentry Systems, Inc. – Idaho
- Safeguard Fire Equipment Co. – Illinois
- I Am Guarded Security Systems II, LLC – Florida
- Homeguard, Inc. – Connecticut
- Black Bear Security, Inc. – Maine
- First Guard LLC – New Jersey
- WSS Integrated Technologies – New Jersey
- K.C. Fire Systems, Inc. – Florida
- Cincinnati Alarm Systems, Inc. – Ohio
- Butte Security – Montana
- Georgetown Fire and Safety, LLC – Texas
- Action Fire Extinguisher, Inc. – Montana
These join previously announced 2025 acquisitions such as Alarm Engineering Inc., Moore Fire Protection and Extreme Fire Protection.
Company says expansion is focused on team integration
Pye-Barker said that its growth model centres on acquiring companies that share its core values and approach to team building.

According to the company, Pye-Barker is the largest fully integrated fire and safety provider in the United States.
It currently operates over 250 locations and employs around 8,000 staff.
The firm ranked No. 849 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list and No. 4 on the SDM 100 security industry ranking.
The company provides a full range of fire alarm, suppression and security system services.
Its expansion model includes acquiring fire protection, sprinkler, alarm and security system companies across the country.
Strategic acquisitions part of long-term approach
The company said these acquisitions are part of a longer-term growth plan that began before 2025.
Earlier acquisitions in 2025 include Nebraska Safety and Fire Equipment, Arrow Fire Protection and Sonitrol Pacific.
The company stated that these additions have helped extend its reach across key US markets and increased capacity in installation, maintenance and monitoring.
