Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired Fortress Security.
The firm said this acquisition expands its footprint to more than 20 locations in Texas.
Pye-Barker described the deal as strengthening its ability to deliver integrated fire protection, life safety and security services across the state.
Fortress Security is a provider of commercial fire alarm and security solutions with operations in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
The company ranks No. 54 on the SDM 100 list of top security providers.

Fortress Security provides commercial intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, gate entry systems and monitored fire alarm solutions.
The company also offers flood detection systems and smart building automation that allows customers to manage operations remotely.
