Recognition given to Quelfire at national construction awards

Quelfire was named runner-up in the Goods Partner of the Year 2024 category at Willmott Dixon’s Building on Better and SHEQ Awards.

According to Quelfire, the ceremony took place in May 2025 and highlighted the role of supply chain collaboration across the UK construction sector.

The award followed earlier recognition at Willmott Dixon’s Annual General Meeting in December 2024, where Quelfire received the Goods Partner of the Year accolade on behalf of the London & East Local Construction Office (LCO) and Supply Chain Team.

Quelfire said that its nomination reflected multiple areas of delivery including technical support, installation guidance, and tested product performance.

The company stated that the nomination came directly from its industry partners, highlighting positive working relationships and technical engagement.

Nominations based on support and technical service

Quelfire stated that it was nominated due to its consistent design-to-installation support across construction projects.

The company said this included its ability to provide early-stage design input and responsive communication throughout project timelines.

It added that its technical department was frequently cited by clients as highly accessible and solution-focused.

Quelfire noted that the third reason for nomination was its provision of tested and evidence-backed products for fire safety compliance.

It said the nomination process acknowledged a blend of customer support, compliance assurance, and collaboration with supply chain stakeholders.

Background to Willmott Dixon’s awards

According to Quelfire, the Building on Better and SHEQ Awards were developed by Willmott Dixon to recognise positive performance across its national supplier base.

Quelfire reported that the awards form part of Willmott Dixon’s wider ‘Building on Better’ framework, which centres on delivery across five themes: customers, people, products, legacy, and growth.

The company explained that these awards act as an annual opportunity to recognise teams or partners who demonstrate alignment with those themes in practice.

It said the May 2025 event brought together stakeholders from various regions of the UK construction sector.

Quelfire said the awards offered visibility for both strategic partners and frontline contributors across categories including design and goods supply.

Other award recipients named at ceremony

Quelfire noted that GE Door Manufacturing was named Goods Partner of the Year 2024.

It also reported that Child Graddon Lewis received the award for Design Partner of the Year 2024.

Associated Architects was named runner-up in the design category.

Quelfire stated that all awardees were commended for delivering outcomes that support Willmott Dixon’s strategic framework and national objectives.

The company added that it shared its runner-up status with other supply chain partners recognised for technical and operational performance.

Company response to industry recognition

Quelfire said it was pleased to have been acknowledged for its contribution to construction project delivery.

The company stated that it viewed the award as recognition of its efforts to provide consistent and reliable support to clients.

It added that the collaborative nature of the awards reflects how technical and compliance outcomes depend on close coordination across supply chains.

Quelfire explained that it looks forward to continuing its partnership with Willmott Dixon and others to support safety and performance outcomes in construction.

The company also congratulated all other winners and nominees in the 2024 awards cycle.
