London Build Expo hosts standalone Fire & Security Expo

Quelfire will be participating in the upcoming London Build Expo 2024, scheduled for 20-21 November at Olympia London.

For the first time, the Fire & Security Expo will operate as a standalone event within the broader exhibition, hosted in Olympia’s National Hall.

Quelfire, positioned at Stand L76, will engage with attendees across two days of industry panels, networking, and product showcases.

The event promises extensive discussions on key industry topics across 12 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) stages, along with opportunities for attendees to connect at the Meet the Buyers and Architect’s Hub.

Quelfire expressed anticipation about engaging with new and returning customers, aligning its exhibit with its ongoing campaign, “Because it’s your job to know.”

Focus on firestopping standards and safety

At this year’s event, Quelfire aims to emphasise the importance of early planning and responsible firestopping practices.

As part of its exhibit, the company will display detailed examples of tested firestopping solutions, including unique installation methods for elements such as angled pipes, busbars, and TracPipe.

This display highlights the importance of selecting properly tested firestopping products, designed and installed according to rigorous standards.

In the wake of events such as the Grenfell Tower fire, Quelfire underscores the critical nature of compliance in fire safety.

The stand encourages open discussions on firestopping responsibilities and emphasises each professional’s role in ensuring safe and compliant installations that protect lives and property.

Panel discussion on Gateway 2 submissions and building safety

Quelfire is also set to host a panel discussion on 20 November at noon on the Fire Safety Stage.

The session, titled “Navigating Gateway 2 Submissions – Experiences, Challenges, and Insights,” will feature industry leaders who have worked on projects incorporating new safety measures under the Building Safety Act.

The panel will include insights from Craig Wells, Quelfire’s Sales Director, along with contributions from Graeme Whitty of Willmott Dixon Construction, James Felstead from Child Graddon Lewis, Jeremy Ockenden from Affinity Fire Engineering, and Tom Hughes of Safer Sphere.

They will address practical experiences with Gateway 2 requirements, discuss both challenges and benefits, and offer key takeaways for professionals navigating compliance.

Quelfire encourages discussions around responsibility in fire safety

According to Quelfire’s Marketing Manager, Hayley Clay, the team is enthusiastic about returning to London Build in this expanded capacity.

She stated: “We’re so excited to be back at London Build, especially now that the Fire & Security Expo is standalone event – it really shows how much the show has grown.

“This year, we’re focusing on having conversations about responsibility in firestopping, and the critical role it plays in protecting people and property.

“Come by Stand L76 and catch up with some new and familiar faces. We hope you can join us!”

Quelfire’s exhibit aligns with its commitment to fostering industry conversations around the role of fire safety, making its participation in London Build Expo 2024 a platform for promoting firestopping compliance and accountability.
