Partnership to improve project management and cross-selling opportunities
Ranger Fire and Security has announced a partnership with Simpro, a field service management software provider, to enhance project management and collaboration across Ranger Group’s businesses.
As reported by Ranger Fire and Security, the partnership will see Simpro’s platform implemented to streamline workflows, enabling businesses within the group to schedule and manage projects more efficiently.
The platform will also allow for seamless cross-selling of services between Ranger’s businesses based on expertise and geographical location.
The first Ranger businesses are set to begin using Simpro’s platform in September.
The UK fire and security sector challenges
The UK fire and security sector is highly skilled but fragmented, with many businesses focusing on a few specialised services.
This specialisation often creates challenges for businesses looking to grow and expand their offerings.
Ranger Fire and Security, founded earlier this year, aims to address these challenges by acquiring high-performing businesses with specific expertise and bringing them together under one group.
This enables the company to provide a broader range of services to clients while promoting collaboration between businesses in the group.
Simpro platform to enhance service delivery
Simpro and Ranger Fire and Security have collaborated to create a tailored software solution that can be utilised across multiple businesses in the group.
This eliminates the need for third-party software or manual workarounds, resulting in more efficient job scheduling, quoting, inventory tracking, and invoicing.
Gary Specter, CEO of Simpro, said: “Our partnership with Ranger will achieve this and more, bringing genuine innovation to the fire and security sector.”
The new platform will also improve field teams’ ability to access the services they require without the need for multiple technology providers, allowing them to focus on delivering high-quality services to customers.
Ranger continues growth through acquisitions
Ranger Fire and Security has been expanding its capabilities through strategic acquisitions.
Earlier this year, the company acquired IPH Fire Solutions Ltd, AFIL Ltd, Ignis Fire Protection Ltd, and Syncro Group Ltd, enhancing its offerings in fire detection, extinguisher maintenance, suppression, and security services.
The company has received investment from the private equity firm Hyperion, enabling it to continue pursuing further acquisitions and growth opportunities throughout 2024 and beyond.
