Rosenbauer introduces high-capacity foam pumper for industrial firefighting in the US

Rosenbauer America has launched a new custom industrial foam pumper aimed at meeting the specific operational requirements of industrial fire response.

According to Rosenbauer America, the pumper was developed through direct input from customers.

It includes high-volume water pumping capabilities, integrated foam systems and advanced control interfaces for operators responding to complex incidents.

The company stated the vehicle is intended for use at locations such as refineries, petrochemical facilities and terminals, where fire incidents often involve high fuel loads and heat intensity.

These environments may require sustained flows of 6,000 to 10,000 gallons per minute (GPM), especially when fixed infrastructure is damaged or unavailable.

Foam pumper designed to support self-sufficient fire suppression

The updated foam pumper includes a water pump rated at more than 6,000 GPM and a Class B foam system.

It features high-flow monitors and nozzles and large diameter discharges that allow operators to apply water and foam solution directly and efficiently in large-scale events.

Chris Kleinhuizen, Chief Engineer at Rosenbauer America, said: “Industrial fires present unique risks that demand specialized solutions.

“Our updated Industrial Foam Pumper is engineered from the ground up to meet these extreme demands.

“By integrating our cutting-edge pump technology, advanced foam proportioning systems, and intuitive controls, we provide industrial firefighters with the powerful, dependable tools they need to protect lives, assets, and the surrounding communities.”

Integrated technologies support water and foam delivery

The pumper incorporates several proprietary Rosenbauer systems.

These include the N200 carbon fibre pump, HYDROMATICâ„¢ direct injection foam system, and Logic Control System (LCS).

The N200 carbon fibre pump has a capacity of 6,500 GPM from draft.

It features a corrosion-resistant impeller and self-adjusting mechanical seal.

The HYDROMATICâ„¢ foam system allows manual and electrical adjustments to proportioning levels for different discharge operations.

The system is designed to work with various foam concentrate viscosities and includes emergency functionality.

Deck guns provide wide coverage and high GPM capacity

The pumper is equipped with three Rosenbauer deck guns with a combined capacity of 9,000 GPM.

This includes a main RM130 deck gun rated at 4,000 GPM and two RM80 guns rated at 2,500 GPM each.

The system is designed to deliver water or foam over extended distances with precision.

Rosenbauer unveils updated industrial foam pumper for extreme firefighting conditions: Summary

Rosenbauer America has launched a new industrial foam pumper designed for high-demand firefighting situations in industrial settings across the United States.

The apparatus features a water pump rated above 6,000 GPM, a Class B foam system, high-flow monitors, and large diameter discharges.

The Rosenbauer N200 carbon fibre pump delivers 6,500 GPM from draft.

The HYDROMATICâ„¢ foam system supports multiple concentrate viscosities and includes manual and electric adjustments.

The Logic Control System (LCS) provides interface uniformity across Rosenbauer equipment.

Three Rosenbauer monitors with a combined output of 9,000 GPM provide targeted delivery capability.

The vehicle will be on display at FDIC International 2025 from 10–12 April in Indianapolis before beginning a demonstration tour.
