Rosenbauer’s 2024 financial results show strong growth and high order intake

Rosenbauer Group has reported a substantial increase in revenues for 2024, reaching €1,307.0 million, up from €1,064.5 million in 2023.

According to Rosenbauer, vehicle deliveries rose by 10%, with additional growth in equipment, customer service, and components.

All major sales regions, including Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East & Africa, expanded their business volumes.

The company reported an EBIT of €65.2 million, marking a 74% increase from the previous year’s €37.5 million.

Earnings before taxes (EBT) tripled year-on-year to €24.0 million despite higher financing costs.

Without negative special effects amounting to €4.8 million, primarily related to implementing a bank agreement, EBIT would have been €70.0 million.

Order intake and backlog at record levels

Rosenbauer stated that demand for its firefighting technology remained strong in 2024, with incoming orders reaching a record €1,705.2 million, up from €1,450.3 million in 2023.

The order backlog as of December 31, 2024, stood at €2,279.8 million, significantly exceeding the company’s annual revenue and securing production capacity into 2026.

Growth in orders was particularly strong in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, and the Americas.

Rosenbauer Deutschland secured a long-term framework agreement with the German armed forces for the delivery of up to 60 PANTHER airport firefighting vehicles, with the first 35 PANTHER 8×8 units scheduled for delivery by 2029.

Financial stability and cost management

Despite the 23% revenue increase, Rosenbauer reduced trade working capital by 7%.

The company reported that working capital as a share of revenue improved from 43% (€456.8 million) in 2023 to 32% (€424.4 million) in 2024.

This improvement was attributed to lower inventory levels and higher customer prepayments.

Outlook for 2025

Rosenbauer’s Executive Board projects further growth in 2025, with anticipated sales reaching approximately €1.5 billion.

The company aims for an EBIT margin of over 6% for the year.

Final figures for 2024 will be published on April 11, 2025, in accordance with IFRS reporting standards.
