Orders confirmed for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Rosenbauer has reported that it has secured two tenders from the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Office for Central Tasks and Technology of Police, Fire and Disaster Protection.
According to the company, the orders cover a total of 103 vehicles, including 35 HLF 10 rescue firefighting vehicles, 6 GW-L2 logistics vehicles and 62 TSF-W portable pump vehicles with water.
Rosenbauer explained that the contract also includes an option for up to 85 additional vehicles. These would consist of 41 TSF-W units, 9 GW-L2 units and 35 HLF 10 units.
The manufacturer stated that delivery of the confirmed vehicles is planned between 2026 and 2027.
It added that in recent years it has received other large-scale orders from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Collective tender includes Brandenburg and Thuringia
Rosenbauer noted that the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern organised a joint tender for the TSF-W vehicles.
It confirmed that Brandenburg and Thuringia also took part in this process.
The group explained that this arrangement allows multiple states to acquire standardised vehicles while coordinating procurement schedules.
Rosenbauer added that this tendering approach is becoming increasingly common for portable pump vehicles across Germany.
Specifications for the HLF 10 rescue firefighting vehicles
Rosenbauer reported that the HLF 10 rescue firefighting vehicles will be delivered with its AT superstructure.
It said that the design includes an integrated crew cab with automatically swinging hinged doors for safer access.
The company explained that the HLF 10s will be built on MAN TGM all-wheel drive chassis with twin rear tyres and a gross weight of 14 tonnes.
It stated that each unit will feature a Rosenbauer N25 pump, capable of pump and roll operation while in motion.
The manufacturer noted that the vehicles will have 2,000 litre water tanks, an RTE PX 14 power generator and the Rosenbauer RTE One Person Reel Hose.
Details of the GW-L2 logistics vehicles
According to Rosenbauer, six logistics vehicles of the ST series will also be delivered.
It explained that these units will have a self-supporting frame, allowing for flexible superstructure and compartment layouts.
The company stated that each vehicle will store five RTE RC Profile roll containers and a TS FOX4 pump in the lower compartment.
Rosenbauer added that the vehicles are built on MAN TGM 16.320 4×4 BL chassis with a 4,250 mm wheelbase.
It reported that each model includes a MAN crew cab accommodating a driver plus five crew members.
Features of the TSF-W portable pump vehicles
Rosenbauer confirmed that the TSF-W vehicles will be based on Iveco Daily chassis with a gross weight of 7.2 tonnes.
It said that these models include a four-person crew cab and a CT profile superstructure with large closures.
The company explained that the vehicles will carry a 1,000 litre water tank, with indicators located in the cab and on the pump dashboard.
It added that each will be fitted with a FOX 4 portable pump delivering 2,050 litres per minute at 10 bar.
Rosenbauer reported that the vehicles will also include a pneumatic light mast and a hygiene wall with water connection.
Relevance for fire and safety professionals
The Rosenbauer contracts show how collective procurement can equip multiple German states with standardised vehicles.
The orders highlight the range of vehicle types used by brigades, from rescue firefighting units to logistics support and portable pump carriers.
The technical specifications give fire professionals insight into how design choices in chassis, pumps and crew cab layouts affect operations.
The staged delivery across 2026 and 2027 provides a timeline for when these fleets will enter service.
