SIBCA launches SIBEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi

SIBCA has opened SIBEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday 19 November 2025, bringing fire and safety specialists and technology partners together to examine how smart systems can support safer communities across the Middle East.

According to SIBCA, the two-day event is taking place at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi.

The company said the forum is gathering fire and life safety experts, industry figures and international participants.

SIBEC 2025 is being held under the theme “Smart Solutions for Safer Communities”.

SIBCA stated that the event is designed as a platform for collaboration, networking and the presentation of new technical concepts.

Programme focuses on smart building and safety systems

SIBCA reported that the SIBEC 2025 programme centres on how smart technologies can improve safety, performance and sustainability at community level.

Sessions will cover Fire and Life Safety, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and Building Management Systems (BMS).

The agenda also includes Extra Low Voltage (ELV) infrastructure, Audio-Visual (AV) solutions and lighting systems.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications are also highlighted within the programme.

The organiser said the event aims to show how these technologies can operate together within smart buildings and wider community settings.

Fire and safety keynote speakers and partners

SIBCA confirmed that the speaker line-up includes Ibrahim Lari, Chairman and CEO of SIBCA.

Keynotes will also be delivered by Mike Brunzell, Vice President of Global Business Development at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

SIBCA added that Jared Conrad, Director of UL Solutions, will address the digitisation of buildings in the context of artificial intelligence.

According to the company, topics across the programme include community empowerment through smart solutions and protection of buildings during construction.

The organiser stated that the United Arab Emirates’ position in artificial intelligence adoption forms part of the wider context for these discussions.

Strategic partnerships supporting Middle East smart safety agenda

SIBCA noted that SIBEC 2025 is backed by 35 strategic partners.

Partners include the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), UL Solutions and Emirates Safety Laboratories (ESL).

The list also features Johnson Controls, Siemens and Carrier.

Huawei and Honeywell are among the additional technology partners taking part.

SIBCA said the event is supported by public-sector participation.

The organiser reported that more than 1,000 attendees are expected over the two days.

According to SIBCA, SIBEC 2025 is intended to act as a regional point of connection for safety and technology stakeholders across the Middle East.

Smart fire and safety collaboration for regional stakeholders

The SIBEC 2025 programme is likely to be directly relevant for fire and rescue chiefs and senior officers who are assessing how Fire and Life Safety systems integrate with wider smart building infrastructure.

Sessions covering Building Management Systems (BMS), Extra Low Voltage (ELV) networks and Internet of Things (IoT) devices provide technical context for system installers, fire-protection contractors and electrical contractors who are working on complex projects across the region.

For building services engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers and architects, the focus on heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting and Audio-Visual (AV) systems highlights how safety-related performance requirements intersect with operational and sustainability objectives.

Participation from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), UL Solutions and Emirates Safety Laboratories (ESL) means standards bodies and certification-focused professionals can track how codes, testing regimes and digital tools are being applied in smart community projects in the United Arab Emirates and neighbouring markets.

Facility managers for commercial, industrial and public-sector sites can use outputs from SIBEC 2025 to inform future procurement decisions related to integrated safety, building control and information systems.
