Spartan Fire opens new headquarters and service centre
Pierce Manufacturing’s South Carolina dealer Spartan Fire and Emergency Apparatus has opened a new 23,000-square-foot headquarters and service centre in Wellford, South Carolina.
The company confirmed that the site, located along the I-85 corridor, doubles the size of its previous base and marks a new stage in its 50-year history.
Spartan Fire said the facility reinforces its long-term focus on providing service and support for fire departments throughout the state.
The firm added that its new headquarters includes five drive-through service bays, a pump-testing area, an expanded parts warehouse and five acres of usable land for customer vehicles and future growth.
President Robby Fore said: “We don’t just talk about service; we’ve been performing it for decades.
“It also allows us to maintain the quality our customers have come to expect while meeting the increasing demand for fire and emergency apparatus service across South Carolina.”
Dillon facility expands statewide coverage
Spartan Fire has also opened a 12,000-square-foot service facility in Dillon, South Carolina.
According to the company, the location provides convenient access for customers in the Pee Dee region and surrounding areas.
With its new sites in Wellford and Dillon, alongside its existing operation in Summerville, Spartan Fire now runs three full-service centres across the state.
The firm said the network forms a service “triangle” that keeps every customer within two hours of one of its facilities.
Each location includes a service manager, a dedicated parts team and both in-house and mobile technicians to cover maintenance and repair services for all apparatus makes and models.
Gradual and planned company growth
General Manager Mary Elise Greenway said: “This growth has been gradual and intentional, allowing us to scale in a way which preserves the quality of service our customers rely on.
“It wouldn’t have been possible without our people, our team members, our customers, and our partnership with Pierce Manufacturing.
“They’ve all made this journey possible, and this new chapter reflects their trust and support.”
The company confirmed it has retained its former headquarters in Roebuck, South Carolina, which it plans to repurpose for additional service offerings in the near future.
Founded in 1973, Spartan Fire has expanded from a three-person operation to more than 40 employees serving fire departments across South Carolina.
Pierce Manufacturing said the company’s expansion highlights the strength of its dealer network, which includes more than 120 service centres across North America.
Relevance for fire and safety professionals
Spartan Fire’s new headquarters and expanded network increase access to emergency apparatus service and maintenance across South Carolina.
This development is directly relevant for fire chiefs, fleet managers and procurement officers responsible for vehicle readiness and reliability.
The additional facilities in Wellford, Summerville and Dillon allow faster response to service needs, greater parts availability and reduced downtime for front-line fire departments.
By maintaining coverage within two hours for all customers, the company’s expansion supports operational continuity and improved regional logistics for apparatus maintenance.
It also reflects Pierce Manufacturing’s continued investment in its dealer service network across North America.
