Satellite solutions for emergency response showcased at Super Bowl LIX
ST Engineering iDirect and Verizon Frontline demonstrated their satellite-enabled public safety solutions at an exclusive event held ahead of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
The event highlighted various tactical assets designed to provide reliable connectivity during emergencies.
These assets incorporate ST Engineering iDirect’s satellite communication technology to ensure dependable communication for first responders.
Verizon Frontline’s tactical assets integrate satellite connectivity
Among the showcased assets was the Tactical Humanitarian Operations Response (THOR) vehicle, equipped with private 5G Ultra Wideband, mobile edge computing, and multiple backhaul options.
The Satellite Picocell on Trailer (SPOT) supports up to 400 users with satellite backhaul and Wi-Fi access.
The Off-Grid, Cross-Communications Network (OXEN) trailer offers 5G Ultra Wideband, 4G LTE, satellite backhaul, and solar or generator power capabilities.
The Tactical Command Center provides multiple critical communications options in a secured workspace for 25 first responders.
