A comprehensive showcase for the UK and international emergency services sector

The Emergency Services Show, the UK’s multi-award-winning trade event dedicated to the UK blue light community will return to the NEC Birmingham from 18-19 September 2024.

The event promises to be, Europe’s largest and most comprehensive series dedicated to product innovation, exclusive networking opportunities, and essential learnings for the emergency services sector.

The Emergency Services Show will be co-located with The Emergency Tech Show (ETS), which debuted last year and quickly became a vital event for emergency tech professionals.

The show will feature sector-leading exhibitors, an extensive content programme, and will be an important destination for procurement specialists, decision-makers, and frontline operational personnel from various sectors including police, fire and rescue, ambulance, search and rescue, and support services.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see the latest products and solutions from over 600 exhibitors and more than 1000 brands.

Technological advancements and new partnerships

The Emergency Tech Show will highlight the most advanced technologies driving the digital transformation of the emergency services sector.

The show will include the Technology Main Stage and Tech Hub seminar theatres.

New for 2024 is the techUK Pavilion, a partnership with techUK, which will showcase innovative technology solutions from emerging SMEs and startups.

Attendees will be able to explore cutting-edge solutions tailored to the emergency services sector from these tech trailblazers.

David Brown, Event Director of The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Show, emphasised the importance of technological advancements in emergency response: “Staying ahead of the curve is crucial in ensuring effective emergency response.

New features and focus areas for 2024

The 2024 event will include several new features, such as the NFCC Future Firefighter PPE Theatre, sponsored by Enduro Protect, which will discuss ensuring future personal protective equipment is fit for purpose.

In partnership with Coventry University Simulation Centre, the new People & Skills Stage will focus on the evolving training and development landscape to enhance lifelong professional skills.

For the first time, The Emergency Services Show will feature a Sustainability Stage dedicated to decarbonising the blue light sector.

This stage will explore solutions for green fleets, emissions reduction, and collaborative approaches to achieving net zero.

The Emergency Services Environment and Sustainability Group, part of the National Police Estates Group (NPEG), will host exclusive member meetings to enhance environmental management practices across the sector.

Networking and continued professional development

The Policing Stage will return for 2024, featuring speakers from frontline policing and research, offering CPD-accredited sessions with valuable case studies and insights to improve policing practices.

Networking will remain a key focus, with events such as the Networking Café and the Tech Bar at The Emergency Tech Show providing central hubs for connecting with colleagues and discussing the latest technologies.
