MoU signed at International Fire Operations Conference in Riyadh

UL Solutions has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aramco to explore opportunities for improving fire and life safety in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement, signed during the International Fire Operations Conference in Riyadh, includes potential collaboration on fire safety, field engineering evaluations, and training initiatives.

The partnership aligns with Aramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) program, which supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic transformation plan.

Jomy Joseph, regional director for the Middle East and Africa at UL Solutions, said: “With our mission of working for a safer world, we are ready to support the goals of Aramco and Saudi Arabia for a safer and more sustainable future.”

Fire safety collaboration and training initiatives

Under the MoU, UL Solutions and Aramco will explore ways to improve fire and life safety standards in Saudi Arabia.

This may include field engineering evaluations to meet Aramco’s requirements, public safety initiatives, and workplace safety training on UL Standards.

The agreement also seeks to provide expertise in fire prevention and industrial safety systems, addressing the increasing demand for fire safety measures in Saudi Arabia.
