Fire safety professionals are invited to register for an upcoming webinar examining the most significant updates introduced in NFPA 72 2025, helping attendees understand how the latest code revisions could impact the design, installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of fire alarm and signalling systems. Titled “NFPA 72, 2025 Update: What Every Life Safety Professional Should Know”, the webinar will be led by Dr. Rodger Reiswig, Fellow and Vice President of Industry Relations at Johnson Controls, who brings almost four decades of experience in fire protection and code development.
During the session, attendees will receive an overview of the most important changes introduced in the 2025 edition of the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, with practical guidance on how these revisions affect compliance and system performance.
Among the topics covered will be Reduced Audible Mode Operation (RAMO), a new provision designed to better accommodate individuals with autism, alongside new cybersecurity requirements for life safety equipment. The webinar will also examine updated smoke detector placement requirements, revised allowances for higher ceiling applications and other code changes that designers, installers, building owners and maintenance professionals need to understand.
Dr. Reiswig has served on the NFPA Standards Council and currently contributes to dozens of NFPA Technical Committees, as well as the Center for Campus Fire Safety. His experience spans numerous industry committees, technical publications and educational initiatives, making him one of the sector’s leading authorities on fire alarm and signalling codes.
The webinar is designed for engineers, consultants, contractors, facility managers, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and other life safety professionals looking to stay informed about evolving code requirements and industry best practice.
