Zenova starts production of ceiling-mounted fire suppression system

Zenova Group has confirmed that full-scale production of its Zenova CS ceiling-mounted fire suppression unit is now underway at a new facility in Albania.

According to Zenova Group, the manufacturing site is operated by Zenova SEE, a joint venture formed between Zenova and its regional partners in South-Eastern Europe.

The company said that production began after a commissioning period following announcements in April and May 2025.

Zenova confirmed that the facility is supplying units to customers across the Balkans and Europe and is expected to deliver its first completed orders in the third quarter of 2025.

The site follows Zenova’s existing quality assurance procedures and is part of the company’s broader strategy to develop regional manufacturing across EMEA.

Facility to support distribution across Balkans and Europe

The Albania-based site will operate as a distribution hub for Zenova CS units across South-Eastern and Central Europe.

Zenova stated that the joint venture enables faster order fulfilment and reduces delivery costs by moving production closer to the target markets.

The new location is also expected to reduce lead times for customers and streamline logistics within the region.

The company said the decision to establish a permanent manufacturing base in Albania reflects its approach to working with local partners in strategically important areas.

Zenova added that all units produced at the new site meet its established performance and safety criteria.

New unit targets residential and commercial applications

The Zenova CS fire suppression unit is designed to activate automatically in the event of a fire.

It is ceiling-mounted and contains an integrated detection and suppression mechanism within a self-contained unit.

Zenova described the system as suitable for use in residential buildings, commercial premises, and industrial facilities.

The company explained that the unit uses a proprietary fire suppression agent developed by Zenova that is non-toxic.

Zenova said the design of the CS unit aims to provide passive protection in locations where active fire systems may not be present or practical.

CEO comments on manufacturing strategy

Thomas Melchior, CEO of Zenova Group PLC, said the expansion in Albania aligns with the firm’s broader EMEA manufacturing strategy.

Melchior said: “Commencing production in Albania through Zenova SEE is an important step in scaling our manufacturing footprint while aligning with our strategy of embedding Zenova solutions in high-growth regions.

“This initiative enables faster deployment and lower logistics costs while empowering regional stakeholders to promote fire safety innovation.

Melchior was previously quoted in April and May regarding the anticipated benefits of the Albania facility and its role in Zenova’s regional growth model.

Timeline and next steps for product rollout

Zenova said the Albania facility is expected to fulfil current orders and support additional demand during the third quarter of 2025.

The company noted that full-scale production has already started and that the first units have passed quality checks.

Shipments are expected to commence within the coming months, depending on final logistics arrangements and customer schedules.

Zenova added that the new manufacturing capability provides flexibility in responding to changing regional requirements.

The company also confirmed that further information on distribution agreements will be made available in due course.
