ZIEGLER delivers ARFF to Tibet Airport

Firefighting vehicle manufacturer ZIEGLER delivered a type Z8 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicle (ARFF) to Lhasa Gonggar Airport in Tibet, China. With a extinguishing agent volume of 17,000 litres of water and 2,040 litres of foam compound, the Z8 is ready for extinguishing attacks in an emergency and for the increased requirements at one of the world’s highest airports.

Features of the Z8

The Z8 is equipped with two traction motors that enable acceleration and a top speed of 140 km/h- even under demanding climactic and geographical conditions. As a result of ZIEGLER’S extinguishing technology, the Z8 is designed to ensure efficiency in operations where every second counts.

Lhasa-Gonggar Airport, which is located at an altitude of 3,570 metres above seal level is a transportation hub in Western China. The delivery of the ZIEGLER is helping to further increase safety at this location and raise the international standard in the field of airport fire protection technology.
