Registration now open for Cobra instructor courses

Cold Cut Systems has officially opened registration for its 2024 Cobra Instructor Courses.

This program is an opportunity for individuals to become certified Cobra instructors, enhancing their firefighting skills.

The course aims to train participants in the safe and effective use of the Cobra system, integrating Cobra methods with existing firefighting techniques within their organisations.

Course structure and content

The Cobra Instructor Course includes a theoretical component, delivered through e-learning, followed by two days of practical exercises.

These practical sessions will take place at the Guttasjön training venue, located outside Borås, Sweden​​.

Three-Day Course Structure and Objectives

The Cobra Instructor Course, spanning three days, is designed for firefighting instructors with prior firefighting and instructional experience. Its goal is to train instructors in the safe and efficient use of the Cobra system, enabling them to teach Cobra Operators and integrate Cobra methods into their organization’s existing procedures.

Course Content and Certification

The course comprises an e-learning module covering Cobra theory and two days of practical exercises at a training venue. Successful participants will receive a three-year certificate to train Cobra Operators, along with Cobra course material. The certificate can be renewed through an e-learning refresher. Highly experienced Cobra Senior Instructors deliver the course, which includes both theoretical and practical training. It can be conducted at the participant’s training facilities or a Cobra-approved venue.

By the end of the course, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain Cobra tactics and the SAVE method.
  • Train and develop Cobra Operators for safe and efficient equipment use.
  • Transfer knowledge and skills to their organization.

  • Demonstrate the safe and effective use of Cobra in various fire scenarios.
  • Pierce through different materials using Cobra.

  • 9–10 April: Scandinavian course
  • 23-24 April: International course
  • 21–22 May: Scandinavian course
  • 19–20 September: Scandinavian course
  • 17–18 October: Scandinavian course​​.
