Dubai Civil Defence and Intersec 2024 join forces to enhance fire and rescue technology in the UAE

Dubai Civil Defence is collaborating with Intersec, the premier international exhibition for fire, security, emergency services, safety, policing, and cybersecurity, to drive advancements in fire and rescue technology in the UAE.

This partnership aligns with the rising demand for advanced fire safety systems driven by the UAE’s industrial expansion.

Significant convergence of global leaders

Intersec 2024, celebrating its 25th anniversary under the theme ‘Innovating security tech for a quarter century’, will be held from 16-18 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will highlight fire and rescue innovations, showcasing over 400 exhibitors in this segment.

Approximately 70% of the global leaders in the fire and rescue industry will participate, presenting an excellent opportunity for Middle East business engagements.

Fire safety market growth and diverse participation

According to 6Wresearch, the UAE fire safety systems and equipment market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 2.0% from 2020 to 2026.

This growth is attributed to increased investments in the industrial sector and ongoing social infrastructure projects like UAE Vision 2021, Maritime Vision 2030, and Dubai’s Industrial Strategy 2030.

Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, highlights the event’s importance in advancing regional safety and security.

The Intersec 2024 exhibition expects over 45,000 visitors worldwide, with approximately 25% of exhibitors participating for the first time.

Focusing on crucial industry developments

The Intersec 2024 Fire & Rescue Conference, hosted by Dubai Civil Defence, will address vital industry topics to further global fire protection and safety advancements.

Key topics include emergency response planning, industrial firefighting, and fire prevention innovations.

Esteemed speakers such as Gary Barthram, Chief Fire Officer at Heathrow Airport, UK, Mohammed Saeefan from Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia, and Terrance Wh Tsang, Chief Fire Officer (Kowloon) at the Hong Kong Fire Services Department, will share their insights and expertise.
