FeuerTrutz: A vibrant gathering in Nuremberg

The FeuerTrutz 2023 event, held in Nuremberg, witnessed an impressive turnout, attracting over 5,500 trade visitors and delegates from 38 countries, marking a surge of over 30% from the previous year.

The two-day fair, with a total of 247 exhibitors showcasing pioneering solutions for passive, active and organisational fire protection, was noted for its excellent atmosphere.

Among the new features introduced this year, the forum on digitisation and the forum hosted by Asecos Academy received high acclaim.

Stefan Dittrich, Director of FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse, described the event as: “Perfect mood, happy participants, trade visitors and congress delegates all round, combined with excellent trade fair numbers and a ‘summer feeling’.”

An international platform for knowledge sharing

The Fire Protection Congress, organised by RM Rudolf Müller Medien in tandem with the trade fair, captivated more than 1,300 on-site and digital attendees with its in-depth knowledge sharing and discussions on recent relevant topics.

André Gesellchen, Head of the Fire Protection Programme at RM Rudolf Müller Medien, said: “The Congress enjoyed equally significant growth this year, at 27 percent. The animated professional interaction between the 1,300 participants is testimony to how totally relevant the chosen themes were.”

Highlights from FeuerTrutz 2023

Two significant topics, handling hazardous materials and digitalisation, were given particular emphasis at FeuerTrutz 2023, with dedicated forums providing insights.

Among the attractions, live explosions and chemical reactions at the Asecos Academy forum and a talk session on “Failure of critical infrastructure” engaged significant visitor attention.

The forum “A practical guide to digitization” offered a platform to gain a practical understanding of digitalisation for trade businesses, with 20 live interviews conducted over the course of the event.

Other notable events and prospects for FeuerTrutz 2024

Besides the core activities, FeuerTrutz 2023 was punctuated with a variety of other events such as the Exhibitor Forum, the Training & Career Meeting Point, the Job Board, the Innovation Pavilion, and the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE.

Notably, the Fire Protection Congress discussed key issues like fire protection in existing buildings, batteries and energy storage devices, and modern timber structures.

As the event drew to a close, nine out of ten trade visitors expressed their intentions to attend the next edition of FeuerTrutz in 2024.

Furthermore, the next FeuerTrutz and the accompanying Fire Protection Congress are slated for 26th and 27th June 2024, to be held in the same venue at the Exhibition Halls 4 and 4A and the adjacent Congress Centre NCC Ost.
