Interschutz 2026 aims to enhance international cooperation in emergency response

Emergencies, natural disasters, crises, and military conflicts have highlighted the need for more efficient civil protection.

Experts assert that this can only be achieved through enhanced cooperation among fire services, emergency, and disaster response services at both international and interdisciplinary levels.

This has led to “Safeguarding tomorrow” being chosen as the theme for Interschutz 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for fire and rescue services, civil protection, safety, and security.

The event is designed to encourage a stronger focus on innovation, foresight, and cooperation within these critical sectors.

Innovation, foresight, and cooperation: Pillars of Interschutz 2026

Bernd Heinold, the Interschutz Project Manager at Deutsche Messe, outlined the significance of the chosen theme: “Innovation means, for example, the handling and use of artificial intelligence (AI),” he said.

“Foresight means thinking ahead and in scenarios, so that all protective measures and preparations for tomorrow can be taken right now today.”

Heinold further emphasized the importance of cooperation, which he views as essential for integrating individual measures into a cohesive whole.

This close networking, he believes, is crucial for overcoming future challenges and adapting to ever-changing requirements.
