In order to inform an National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Health and Wellbeing strategy, colleagues from Nottingham Trent University have been tasked with conducting a survey to map health and wellbeing across fire and rescue service staff to better understand current and future needs.

The NFCC Health and Wellbeing strategy will reflect the health and wellbeing needs of people within the industry, across all careers.

Led by Dr Rowena Hill, Associate Professor of Disaster and Emergencies, in conjunction with NFCC’s People programme, responses to the survey will help to establish current demand and create a clear picture of any challenges faced by FRS staff.

The survey specifically aims to address how role impacts support required and given, and general perceptions of a person’s health, wellbeing and life in general.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and will close on 3 July.
